Not many companies (IBP) and choreographers have made such a distinctive mark on the dance stages of the past 10−15 years as has Ingun Bjørnsgaard. Her productions are strikingly beautiful, full of pathos in minor along with a generous portion of sly humour! Situated between dance as a beautiful “fairy tale” in the classical sense and a more contemporary, streamlined feeling of emptiness, she has succeeded in creating a unique and personally charged universe. Her characters carry secrets, yearnings and dreams − but are simultaneously condemned to feelings of helplessness and a touching inadequacy.
